The chances are, you have come to my site having already thought that counselling might be of use. If you have not had any form of talking therapy before, you may feel daunted and you may be unsure of its use.
You may come with a strong focus of the issues at hand, for example anxiety, or have a sense of something not being right in your world but not sure of the words to explain this. You may come because someone else has suggested it, such as friends, family or employers.
Counselling provides a non-judgemental space for you to explore and uncover your thoughts, reactions and the feelings that you live with.
